Portrait of Place - Part 1

#RENATURE Inspired by the work of landscape photographer Richard Adams, and his use of photography in order to highlight how humans scar the earth, I created this project. Adams documentation of ‘landscape’ becoming ‘place’ through the effects of human activity, and in particular, the idea of a ‘place’ returning to ‘landscape’, interested me, so I looked further into the idea of nature taking back what we have altered. Rather than capturing the effect humans are having on landscape, I decided to capture natures effect on place.
